Sticky session rules
Configured durations, inactivity timeouts, recommendations and approximate durations are different session rules. None guarantees an IP lifetime: a device may go offline. Numeric duration filtering requires an explicit configured range or ceiling; recommendations, approximations and conflicting source limits do not qualify. Product scope and source conditions still apply.
- Residential proxies: 1 second to 10080 minutes configurable; default not collected. Product-level documentation; plan qualification not established.
Session sources and conditions
Source · readThe _lifetime- key directs the router regarding the duration for which the session remains valid. The minimum duration is set at 1 second, and the maximum extends to 7 days. It is crucial to note the format here: only one unit of time can be specified. This parameter plays a pivotal role in defining the operational span of a sticky session, balancing between session stability and security needs.
Source · readThe _session- key instructs our routing system to either create or resolve a unique session for the connection. The value assigned to this key must be a random alphanumeric string, precisely 8 characters in length. This ensures the uniqueness and integrity of the session.
Source · readRandomize sessions provide a new proxy with each request. This means that every time you make a request, it comes from a different IP address. This approach is ideal for tasks that require a high level of anonymity and reduced traceability, such as web scraping or accessing content without revealing a consistent identity.
Source · readTo use this type of rotation, you don't need to add anything to the proxy string.
Source · readBy default, if a sticky session's IP becomes unavailable, the system silently assigns a replacement.
Source · readTo disable this behavior, add the _killswitch-1 flag to your proxy string. When the flag is added, the proxy returns an HTTP 410 code response instead of rotating to a new IP.
Source · readThis is useful for workflows where an undetected IP change would cause errors or data integrity issues.
Questions
How much does IPRoyal cost?
The cheapest plan we hold for IPRoyal is Custom plans Subscription (5% off) at $1.75. All 23 of its plans are listed above, read from iproyal.com and dated. Proxy prices move week to week, so read the date beside a figure before you rely on it.
Does IPRoyal ask for ID to sign up?
Just an email. IPRoyal will sell to you without identity documents. Neither answer is automatically the better one: some buyers have to avoid an ID check, and some read its absence as a question about how the network was built.
How can you pay IPRoyal?
Card, PayPal, crypto. Cryptocurrency is accepted, which matters to buyers who do not want a card statement naming a proxy provider. Payment methods come off the provider's own checkout and are dated with the rest of the record.
Where does IPRoyal get its addresses?
A bandwidth-sharing app. Addresses come from people who installed an app whose whole purpose is selling their spare bandwidth, and are usually paid for it. The consent is more direct than an SDK bundle.
Does IPRoyal offer a trial or a refund?
IPRoyal publishes no trial. Refunds: Unused traffic only. Both are quoted from the provider's own terms rather than summarised, because a paraphrase of a refund window is the kind of precision nobody should take from us.
