Sub-user
A sub-user is a separate credential under one account, used to split traffic or clients. Proxy Compare tracks 42 providers, read 5 Oct 2026, and none publishes sub-user limits consistently. What is recorded is authentication: 30 document username and password and 24 document IP whitelisting.
Why it costs you money
It is how you find out which project burned the bandwidth. Providers differ on how many they allow and whether limits can be set per sub-user, and an agency billing clients separately needs both. Free on some plans, a paid tier on others.
