Monthly subscriptions, before tax. Annual discounts and extra-credit purchases are excluded. A dash means the page states a price without stating that figure beside it, not that the plan has none.
The last column is ours, not theirs: the tier price divided by its credit allowance, times the quoted Classic Proxy without JavaScript rendering credit cost. It assumes the full allowance is used. The workload calculator includes the cost of credits you buy but leave unused.
Whose network is underneath
Not established
A scraping API is a storefront over somebody’s proxy pool. This one does not say whose. We looked twice: through its pricing, about and FAQ pages, and then through the places a supplier has to be named for data-protection reasons — subprocessor, trust, security and privacy pages. Neither names a network. That is not the same as there being no upstream.
It matters because ethics do not stop at the vendor boundary. In July 2026 the FBI seized a residential proxy platform built on roughly two million consumer devices enrolled with little or no meaningful consent, and that network was resold under other brands. A clean storefront can sit on top of one.

- HTTP 404, 410 and 413 are billable. Transparent status mode also bills target responses below 500.
Billing policy and source
Response Status Code ScrapingBee returns the following HTTP status codes. These are ScrapingBee's own status codes, not the target page's. By default we do not forward the status the scraped site returned - see transparent HTTP status code for how the two relate, and for how to get the target's status instead. Code Billed? Meaning Solution 200 Yes Successful Call 400 No Bad request Incorrect parameters or parameters type. See the message in the response body. 401 No Out of credits, or an invalid API key Check the key, then upgrade your plan or contact sales. 403 No The account is banned, or the request was redirected to a blocked destination The response body says which. This is never the scraped page's own 403. 404 Yes Requested URL not found Provide a valid URL. 410 Yes Requested URL gone Provide a valid URL. 413 Yes The target page returned 413 (payload too large) Check the URL; the page itself refused the request. 429 No Too many concurrent requests. Please upgrade your plan or contact sales. 500 No We could not scrape the page, or the target returned a status we do not pass through Retry; the response body carries the reason. Transparent HTTP status code transparent_status_code [ boolean ] ( false ) By default ScrapingBee reports its own status rather than the target's: any 2xx becomes 200, 404, 410 and 413 are passed through, and everything else becomes 500. Redirects are followed first, so this is the status at the end of the chain. So a 403 from an anti-bot page, a 401 from a paywall or a 503 from an overloaded site all reach you as a 500, not as their own code. A 500 from us is not billed. To get the same body and status code as the requested URL in any circumstances, use the transparent_status_code=true parameter. When this parameter is set to true: Anything the target returns below 500 is billed, since we no longer replace it with a 500. A 5xx is still free. We do not retry. Without the parameter a failed scrape is tried again on another proxy; with it you get the first attempt.

Questions
Does ScrapingBee ask for ID to sign up?
ScrapingBee does not state what it asks for at sign-up, and we have not been able to establish it from its own pages. That is a fact about the provider rather than a gap in the roster, and it is shown as one above.
How can you pay ScrapingBee?
Card. No cryptocurrency option is published, so a card or an equivalent named payment is the route in. Payment methods come off the provider's own checkout and are dated with the rest of the record.
Where does ScrapingBee get its addresses?
ScrapingBee is a scraping API rather than a proxy network: you send it a URL and it returns the page, using infrastructure it does not itemise. There is no residential pool of its own to disclose, so this site records no sourcing model for it and does not count it among the providers that will not say.
Does ScrapingBee offer a trial or a refund?
Trial: 1,000 free API credits. Both are quoted from the provider's own terms rather than summarised, because a paraphrase of a refund window is the kind of precision nobody should take from us.
