Sticky session

An option that holds one address for a fixed period, usually between one minute and twenty-four hours, so a sequence of requests arrives from the same place.

Why it costs you money

The maximum duration is the number to check before buying, and providers differ widely on it. If your flow takes longer than the cap, the address changes mid-way and the work is lost, so a cheaper provider with a shorter cap can end up costing more in retries.
